HAQAA 2016 2018 The HAQAA (Harmonization of African Higher Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation) Initiative, funded by the European Union in partnership with the African Union. The initiative aims at:  Development of a harmonized quality assurance and accreditation system at institutional level, national, regional and Pan-African continental level “PAQAF”;  Development of African Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance (ASQ -QA); Implement training courses at the Continental level for quality assurance managers;  Assess 15 African higher education institutions through the African Quality Rating Mechanism (AQRM).
 Carry out consultation and assessment visits to quality agencies in accordance with ASQ -QA
ANQAHE Since May 2016 The Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education ANQAHE aims at creating a mechanism between the Arab countries to:
 Support, enhance and disseminate quality assurance best practices in Higher Education in the Arab region;
 Support and strengthen the capacity of Quality Assurance Agencies in the Arab region;
 Support regional and international cooperation in quality assurance in higher education;
 Ensure information exchange about quality assurance in higher education;
AT/RSA November 2016 November 2017 The European Technical Assistance project is a supporting and assisting mission for the implementation of the ANEAQ as part of the RSA II programme (Achieving Advanced Status), which aims at :
 Strengthen the structure of ANEAQ throughout its missions;
 Develop a relevant evaluation framework;
 Strengthen the professional skills of ANEAQ staff and the experts-evaluators;
 Organize and implement exchange and sharing workshops.
FrAQ-Sup Since April 2017 The FrAQ-Sup Network “Francophone Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education”, was founded in spring 2014 by the following agencies:
 Swiss Agency of Accreditation and Quality Assurance (AAQ)
 Agency for Higher Education Quality Evaluation (AHEQE)
 Commission des titres d’ingénieur, France (CTI)
 High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES)
This network aims at promoting contacts, exchange of best practices and collaboration between agencies, namely through organizing annual conferences and implementation of common projects.
HCERES Since June 2017 This agreement aims at cooperating in the following fields:
 Provision of support on specific issues related to the design and implementation of the quality assurance system for higher education and scientific research in Morocco;
 Collaboration on training projects for agency executives ;
 Exchange of experts and information on quality assurance procedures, in compliance with the confidentiality rules in force in their respective countries ;
 Conducting mutual visits of agents, as part of experience exchange;
 Implementation of other cooperation initiatives related to quality assessment of higher education and scientific research, jointly agreed by the Parties.
EQuAM-M October 2017 October 2020 Erasmus+ EQuAM-M project « Enhancing Quality Assurance Management in Morocco » has the general objective of supporting Morocco in the development of an effective and efficient quality assurance system appropriate to the Moroccan context. The specific objectives of this project include the development of :
 A Road Map addressing the necessary detailed requirements for implementing and/or improving the functions and procedures of QA at the institutional level and the link between Internal and External QA.
 A White Paper aiming at informing key stakeholders in Morocco on the progressive implementation of the new QA system that accords with achievable expectations and leads to enhancement in Moroccan HE; and with recommendations for meeting the shared needs of EQA and IQA in Morocco. It will include a 10-year ‘road map’ for the progressive ‘evolution’ of QA for Moroccan HE to support the development of a Quality Culture.
 A shared toolkit’ to meet needs of Internal QA and External QA in Morocco that will lead to
 A Code of Practice for the Management of Quality Assurance in Moroccan universities. This will provide the bases for university’s internal QA arrangements, irrespective of the vision, mission and context, and for the evaluations undertaken by the ANEAQ.
AMEL November 2018 November 2021 The main objective of the Erasmus+ AMEL project “Improvement of Lifelong Learning in Higher Education in Morocco” is to contribute to the establishment of a national framework for lifelong learning (LL) in order to improve its practice and accessibility, through the following measures:
 Strengthening the role of the University in the national economy development ;
 Assisting regulatory developments in the field of LL;
 Introducing the recognition of prior knowledge in higher education in Morocco;
 Train and make available a network of experts in LL and recognition of prior knowledge;
 Take stock of lifelong learning (LL) in Morocco;
 Drafting the “Charter of Moroccan Universities for Lifelong Learning”;
 Adopting a unified system of recognition of individuals’ cognitive and professional assets;
 Provide appropriate guidance and counselling services.
