The 5th RAFANAQ-AUF Annual Meeting, along with the General Assembly of the RAFANAQ network, is being organized by the National Agency for Evaluation and Quality Assurance of Higher Education and Scientific Research ANEAQ, as part of the implementation of its 2025 action plan and the strengthening of African cooperation in Higher Education Quality Assurance. This event, held under the theme : “For a Harmonized, Innovative, Inclusive and High-Quality African Higher Education System: The Strategic Role of Quality Assurance,” will take place from 16 to 17 December 2025 at the Conference Center of Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech. These activities coincide with the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of ANEAQ.
Accordingly, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO is joining the partners of this event to organize the 3rd Ordinary Meeting of the committee of the Addis Ababa Convention on 17 and 18 December 2025.
Mr. Azzedine EL MIDAOUI, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation of the Kingdom of Morocco, will chair the opening session of this event, in the presence of the Presidents of Moroccan Universities, the Directors General and Presidents of the Francophone African Agencies that are full and associate members of RAFANAQ, representatives of the University Agency of the Francophony AUF, the International Academy of Scientific Francophonie AIFS, and UNESCO, as well as Senior African Officials Responsible for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This meeting aims to strengthen cooperation between african evaluation and quality assurance agencies and to promote the exchange of experiences and best practices among the various higher education stakeholders across the continent.
The three-day meeting will feature thematic presentations, high-level panels, experience-sharing sessions, and the signing of agreements between the participating stakeholders.
